Liar Liar

Wikipedia defines lie as “an untruthful statement made to someone else with the intention to deceive.” To lie is to say something one believes to be false with the intention that it be taken for the truth by someone else. Small, harmless white lies we all usually have to tell. But I am amazed how much a person can lie, can he/she fake his entire life, looking into your eyes, bluntly, and you don’t see even a slightest shame in their eyes. A slightest doubt that they might be lying..

I have a travel companion. Usually, a lot of sharing is done when you travel together regulary. So when she started to tell me about her life, I thought, yaar she has a very good life, masters in engg., a good husband (with a VERY high pay), two beautiful children, her own well paid job..her life was a like a dream many dream about. Just one glitch, she had to live away from her husband, but they frequently visited one another. So it was a picture perfect story. And looking at her, and the way she used to tell all these things in your eyes with utmost confidence, that you wouldn’t even think that she is lying. But as time went by her stories became very exaggerated. Then you start doubting, is this all true. Can this fairy tale be really real?? And then I found from her friend, that she actually isn’t married only!!!

I haven’t confronted about this to her. But as of now I m not really taking into consideration of whats true and what false. If she wants to live in a life of fantasy, I cant deny her that. But what amazes me is, this lying thing. If I say a lie, people will immediately catch me. I agree, I m not that good liar. But for faking your entire life, you need to have a dam good confidence. For me, the guilt of lying is a question, my conscience would not allow me to fake my life, and that also for no good reason. God only know, why do people do such things..

Believe In Love

Say, you are in a serious relationship for a while, a year or two. You really love the opposite person, and things are going on great, but then there are fights also, ugly fights. You can’t leave him, cause he is the love of your life and you know that he is the one for you, but you can’t stay as well. Well..if you are an impulsive person like me, then you might have once thought that it might have been better that you two didn’t meet in the first place, that the things haven’t started, you just want to disappear from their life. or just erase them from your memory as a young lady named Clamentine thought of doing.

But will this work??? Just imagine forgetting every wonderful moment you had together with the person you love the most, forget the smallest jokes you cracked together, the tears you cried, the fights you fought that made you even more closer, the long talks you had.. Forgetting the life you shared. Thinking just from the selfish aspect, you are forgetting half of who you are. And I am just not beginning to tell you what void and emptiness you would cause in the opposite person’s life.

That is the essence of the movie, Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind. A movie I would recommend to every person who believes in true love.

Relationships

Being in a relationship...

Its so hard to maintain one on some days, and its like a necessity of your life without which you cant live without. If that person goes away for even a day, it feels like a lifetime, without hearing or meeting them, your day just doesnt seem to end. What is just so intriguing about it is that you had lived without them for your last 20 years or so, but now suddenly they become so important that nothing else seems to matter.

I love watching and learning from the 'Oprah Show', and I remember that once in a show on the same subject, the relationship expert lady said to a troubled woman, that there will be no one telling you like Tom Cruise said to Reene Zelleweger in a very emotional and romantic scene in the movie Jerry Maguire, 'You complete Me', It may be true, but when you are in love, Yes..you are incomplete without them. And with their presence only you feel a sense of completion.

How torn you feel when you have a bad fight..or how low you feel when you havent met your loved one in days..how you miss them when they are away.. how much you long to see them for just a moment..and how just a single smile of theirs will take every pain away, make everything right, things start to look possible..

This is magic or some say power, incredible power

Chalo.. i can even understand their doings if it is in their betterment, people can really be selfish. But when they know that their is nothing in for them, then why just cant they do a tiny bit good thing for others.. Has world really become such a bad place!!!

'One Tree Hill' is one of my favorite series..The series is about high school students. Many such series are aired, but i like this one specially cause it makes u think a lot, about life, about love, family and friends..

In the last episode the main characters were asked to write an essay on a quote by George Bernard Shaw.
"There are two tragedies in life one is to lose you hearts desire the other is to gain it".

Here are the reactions of all the main characters..

Lucas: George Bernard Shaw once wrote, "There are two tragedies in life; one is to lose your heart's desire, the other is to gain it." "Shaw was right: as we strain to grasp the things we desire, the things we think will make our lives better: money, popularity, fame, we ignore what truly matters. The simple things: like friendship, family, love. The things we probably already had."

Brooke: George Bernard Shaw once wrote:"There are two tragedies in life; one is to lose your heart's desire, the other is to gain it."Clearly, Shaw had his heart broken once or twice.

Haley: This year, I got everything I wanted and everything I wished for… but, in a way, I lost even more.

Nathan: As far as I'm concerned, Shaw was a punk. Cuz you know what? Tragedies happen. What are you gonna do, give up? Quit? No. I realize now that when your heart breaks, you gotta fight like hell to make sure you're still alive. Because you are, and that pain you feel... it's life. The confusion and fear… that's there to remind you that somewhere out there is something better. And that something is worth fighting for.

Peyton: Yeah, losing your heart's desire is tragic. But gaining your heart's desire...It's all you can hope for. This year, I wished for love. To immerse myself in someone else and to wake a heart long afraid to feel. My wish was granted. And if having that is tragic...then give me tragedy. Because I wouldn't give it back for the world.

I agree with peyton..any other views?
